The Hypercare is the last stage where the focus shifts from migration execution to ensuring stability. At binary10, we know that even the best-planned data migrations can face issues once the new system is live. That’s why Hypercare is essential to provide expert handholding and support to help your organisation smoothly transition and fully realise the benefits of your new data environment.


What is Hypercare?


Hypercare is a dedicated support period immediately following the cutover or go-live of your data migration project. During this phase, our team stays closely involved to investigate any issues raised to determine if the cause is data related, resolve any technical glitches, provide any required data fixes, and address user questions or challenges quickly and efficiently. The goal is to minimise disruption, optimise system functionality, and build confidence among your team members through continuous support and guidance.


How does binary10 support you during hypercare?


Issue resolution: We swiftly investigate, identify and fix any minor bugs, data inconsistencies or gaps, or any data-related process hiccups that arise once your system is live, ensuring minimal impact on daily operations.


Data Queries: Hypercare includes providing hands-on support for your staff with respect to any data-related queries.


Audit pack delivery: As part of our commitment to thoroughness and transparency, we supply a comprehensive audit pack containing final documentation, reconciliation and test results, and compliance information. This ensures your organisation has a clear record of the migration process, outcomes and controls.


Ongoing Collaboration: Hypercare is not just about troubleshooting - it’s about partnership. We work alongside your internal teams to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and provide continuous support to lay the groundwork for long-term success.

Strategy

Delivery

In the days and weeks after go-live, we offer hands-on support. We investigate any issues raised swiftly to determine if they are data-related, work to resolve any issues quickly, monitor any data updates, and provide reassurance to users, helping them feel confident with the new system from day one.

Cutover

The final step is switching fully to the new system. We will manage the planning of DM Cutover tasks and coordinate with you to ensure these tasks sit correctly in your overall cutover plan, in order to minimise issues or disruption during the cutover period.  With all tasks and checks complete and users supported, the cutover marks a clean handover and the start of real business benefits.

Reconciliation

We validate that everything has landed correctly from a technical viewpoint. Record counts, field-level checks, and audit trails are used to compare source and target data, giving you confidence that nothing was lost, changed, or duplicated in the process. We also manage the business reconciliation approach to ensure you have a structured plan for reconciling the data yourself, with your SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) fully briefed on the “what, when and how” they should carry out reconciliations.
